Continuing a tradition of nearly eight decades of service to the campus community, The George-Anne is the oldest continuously published publication in Bulloch County, Georgia. The George-Anne, the official student newspaper of Georgia Southern University, is celebrating an 80-year tradition of excellence in collegiate journalism.
The George-Anne's circulation is 5,000 and serves a campus of 19,000 students and over 1,700 faculty and staff. Papers are distributed free in racks on and off campus and delivered to residence halls. Our "street team" covers the central campus daily and distributes newspapers in the tradition of "newsies" who would shout "Extra, Extra, Read All About It!"
The George-Anne appears Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year. The George-Anne provides advertisers with an opportunity to advertise with the only official student newspaper of GSU. And, the newspaper is a non-profit organization, so while your advertisement helps your business reach both students and friends of GSU, your advertising dollars are put to work for the students by helping support a wide range of student activities at the University.
The George-Anne, the official student newspaper of Georgia Southern University, is owned and operated by GSU students using the facilities provided by GSU. The newspaper is a non-profit organization.
In addition to The George-Anne, Student Media also publishes The Southern Reflector, The Miscellany, Our House, The Neighborhood, True Blue and The Lantern Walk.
